The supermarket tabloids may have more truth to them than the ones we read, but the average person has no idea anything is any different from our world.

 

 

What Delta Green Knows

 

Delta Green knows there is evil in the world.

 

Evil exists in the form of men, corrupted by greed and shortsightedness into making a devil’s deal with forces beyond their comprehension.

Men corrupted by sin and vice.

Men corrupted by the lure of immortality and absolute power.

Men corrupted by powers they never asked for. By secretive whisperings in their innermost souls.

 

These men prey on the helpless, the clueless, the hopeless in society. They prey on our weakness and sin to make more people and sometimes more...things like them.

 

We must stop them

 

 

What You, the PCs, Know

 

You are a federal agent in the employ of the United States government. You are part of an illegal, secret conspiracy within the United States government that has three priorities:

 

-To protect the citizens of the United States from threats originating from paranormal phenomena.

-To maintain the security of the United States from paranormal threats.

-To gather intelligence on paranormal phenomena.

What is Delta Green?

 

Delta Green is an illegal, secret conspiracy within the United States government that operates to protect the United States from paranormal phenomena. Delta Green operates in a cell structure, with each cell having limited to no knowledge of the overall structure of the organization. There are no barbecues, no reunions, no get-togethers.

 

Delta Green is what the Men in Black would look like if you removed the alien technology, massive funding, neuralyzers, and gave them better fake I.D.'s.

 

Who are Delta Green's Enemies?

 

* Demons, and their summoners.

 

* Vampires of various breeds. Some are older or more powerful than others. They have different weaknesses and abilities. Some have no problem with daylight, others cannot stand it.

 

* "Scanners", people whose brain chemistry has been altered by a specific drug. They can contact and control the nervous systems of other human beings. This can take the form of telepathy, mind control, pyrokinesis, or specific manipulations of brain functions, to induce hallucinations, sensory deprivation, physical reactions such as retching, heart attack, internal bleeding, coma, and various other effects. Scanners can also channel energy to heal others.

 

A couple of things that it is known that scanners cannot do is see the future or the past, or to use what is called "telekinesis" or "psychokinesis".

 

* A misguided and secret branch of the Federal Government called Majestic-12. What you think you may know about Majestic-12 is most likely wrong, spread or allowed to spread as disinformation against anyone discovering the organization.

 

* ...and the aliens they have made deals with.

 

 

How Many People Do We Have?

 

Delta Green has fnord cells, all assigned a two-letter phonetic code name from the NATO phonetic alphabet.

Some of them are primarily for logistical and support purposes--providing agents with false identification, researching and providing information to Cells, combing files for possible new Agents, and seeking signs of possible cases.

 

Others are investigatory cells. This is the most common kind of cell.

 

There exist a few cells reserved for when the only solution is scorched earth tactics. These teams are composed of very experienced military or law enforcement personnel, most commonly Army Rangers and Delta Force, Navy SEALs, or particularly adept and experienced federal law enforcement agents (mostly those DEA agents who have seen action in South America in the War on Drugs). They are heavily outfitted, with plastic explosives, light machine guns, heavy sniper rifles, body armor, and grenades of various kinds.

 

 

Do We Have Any Allies?

 

Delta Green has contact with a branch of the former-Soviet, now-Russian government, called GRU-SV8. They are used primarily as logistical assistance.
